East Africa Community Youth Exchange 2026

This July, six incredible youth leaders from East Africa will travel to Quebec’s Eastern Townships and the Montreal area for the East Africa Community Youth Exchange 2026. During their visit, they’ll tour regenerative and organic farms, learn practical homesteading and permaculture skills, participate in community projects and share their own knowledge and culture with local youth, families, farmers and folks.

This exchange is about collaboration, inspiration and mutual learning, recognizing the expertise these young leaders already bring and amplifying it through new experiences. The first phase of the exchange brought Canadian youth to Rwanda and Uganda, and now the experience is coming full circle as the youth leaders from the very projects we visited are coming to Canada to share their knowledge and culture!
